My new debit card was denied to purchase a watch but I was actually charged for it the next day.

Hi

So a couple of days ago I got a new Visa debit card. I went to go buy a watch for $164 and was denied because the card was not activated yet. Next morning I see in my bank statements that I was charged the $164. I figured that it was approved and I purchased the watch. Well I check and the item is still in my cart and still for sale. Almost like it was a little glitch in the system. I tried contacting the seller but I have gotten no answer. I am planning on going to the bank to see what they can do but we all know how bankers are. Is this an issue with the seller that did not actually sell me anything or is this an issue with the bank or both?

Has anybody else have had this problem?

Your seller has nothing whatsoever to do with this.

Just to be absolutely certain also check your purchase history as it is possible that 2 orders were made, one paid and completed and the other in in your basket awaiting check out.

If no order completion then issue is with payment processer and your bank will be able to resolve this .
