My card was charged but the purchase never complete on eBay, how can I request a refund?

The purchase doesn't appear anywhere on my account. My card was charged and the order number appears in the history of transactions. I was told on the support chat that I should be receiving the refund in the following 72 hours to the purchase but that was more than 3 days ago and the card doesn't have any refunds made for that purchase. Could someone please point me where can I request the money back?

If you see the order (for the purchase) in your Transaction History, why do you question the payment? And how/why is it that you're expecting a refund?

Have you not received the item, and have opened an Item Not Received claim, and are awaiting  a refund?

If that's the case... sometimes refunds can take some days (up to a whole billing cycle) to process.

We really need more information to figure out what kind of pickle you're in. Expand, please...

If you have an order number there must have been an order placed.

Is it possible you ordered using Guest Checkout without being signed into your account?

Find the page where customers can track their Guest Purchases and put the order number in there.

I'm pretty sure I was logged in to my account. Nevertheless, I contacted eBay support and they said the payment appeared as pending and that I should contact the bank. I contacted them and they said they were experiencing problems with eBay payments and refunded the charge.

Im having the same issue, I was paying with PayPal, where $13 was at my paypal balance and $7 were on my debit card. I was chatged at my debit card, but not my paypal, and the purchase was never made, the item still is in my card. Im so anxious idk what happened to that money

This thread is very old and many things change over the years.  You likely need to contact PayPal about your issue.
