Hello, I recently had my account hit with mc011. At first an email was sent saying I was not providing shipping on my orders, yet when I called eBay support they looked through my account and confirmed I provided shipping. I was told to reply to that email stating that I did provide shipping. A few days later my account was permanently restricted, stating I need to provide id, and invoices. I have no issue providing my id, but all of my items I am selling were bought with cash. Is there anything I can do to get my account reinstated if I cannot provide an invoice for my products? All of my funds are being held currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Paying cash for one dozen or more Xbox units would certainly raise some red flags to eBay.

It definitely is understandable, only some of these were purchased online, others in cash. Some I have sat on for awhile. But is there anything you think I can do?

Well, provide what you have. Hopefully, having at least some of the receipts might suffice. I wouldn’t offer up that you don’t have everything - perhaps they will see valid receipts for a few of the items and they will not do the math to see that you are missing a few.
Don't doctor up handwritten receipts for those that are missing - eBay wants clean, verifiable legit receipts. Basically, they want to know that you got your items from reputable outlets - not from some dude in an alley.

Thank you!

One more question, some of these were purchased with my debit card at Best Buy, but I purchased them in person. Is there anyway I can use my debit card history as proof? Or does it have to be physical receipts?

Perhaps you can get duplicate receipts for your purchases. If you plan on selling online, you need to keep receipts because you will need them when you file your taxes. So if you sold an XBox for 700.oo. To the IRS, that looks like all profit. If you have a receipt that shows you paid 400.oo ( I made up the price.) for the unit, then you pay taxes on the 300 instead of 700.oo. For 2022, the IRS gets a 1099 for sales $600.oo and up.

@jaod5901 A little after COVID hit I was hit with the same MC011 restriction. I will be honest with you it sucks and is extremally hard to come back from that restriction. When they restricted my account with MC011 it was because I was selling casually for almost a year and then out of no where I found a really good item I was able to purchase in my local grocery store and sell and ended up selling $50,000+ in 2 months so ebay was suspicious and restricted me. They wanted me to prove I was who I said I was and a detailed list of delivered tracking numbers for all the orders plus invoice for proof of purchase. The tracking part is easy since tracking upload automatically for you but the invoice requirement is the hard one for people. No for me personally I was luckily because all my sales where of Tab soda 12-packs that I would buy from my local grocery store and I always kept my receipts for taxes anyway. They let me take a bunch of photos of my ID and a piece of mail with my name on it and of all the receipts I had as proof. It did take me almost 2 months to get everything in line for them and submit it but I was able to come back from that restriction. It wont be easy and calling ebay will not help you at all i promise so dont waste your time calling them.

Just had Best Buy email me some receipts of xboxs I have purchased, I asked for an invoice but they said they aren’t able to provide me with one. Will digital receipts sent to my email help whatsoever?
