I received a message from ebay regarding managed payments and that I "must" update my information. Am I correct in what I am reading?
1. Ebay will hold my money for 3 days? PayPal makes my funds readily accessible to me.
2. I must pay for shipping, even though ebay is holding my money? PayPal makes my funds readily available so I can pay shipping from the amount collected from the buyer. My shipping fees reach upwards of $100 to $200 per day, and now this must come out of my pocket because ebay is holding my money?
3. When I sell in huge volume over the weekend, ebay will hold my funds until Wednesday? When using PayPal, I can transfer money on Sunday from sales on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and the funds are in my bank account on Monday. Ebay does not even give an option to transfer money other than Monday through Friday.
Nowhere in my store subscription did it say that I am required to have ebay manage my payments. I am not amendable to this and I will be closing my store if ebay mandates this. With that, I also will not pay a termination fee for not fulfilling my contract. Does ebay really want to open this can of worms...because I see a huge class action suit if this is the route they want to take. I never agreed to sell on ebay and have ebay hold my money for days, while I pay to ship inventory that I have not collected on and pay shipping fees to ship inventory I have not collected on.
I should also be very clear that I am 100% for U.S. based companies. PayPal is U.S. based. Adyen, the company who is doing ebay's managed payments, is a Dutch company. I want my money to remain in America.
Is any of what I have understood incorrect? Would love some input on this!

Managed pay does not float you a payment they have not fully received, like PP does.
as for all the rest:
Join MP or do not sell on eBay.

You are correct. MP is mandated by eBay to sell here, if you've been invited.
1. My payments make it from my buyer's a$$ pocket to my a$$ pocket in 4 business days.
2. There is the option of paying shipping from 'Pending' funds... select this method at the bottom of label page.
3. Yes, weekend sales payout as slowly as weekday sales.

eBay will mandate that you go into managed payments at some point. If you don't, you'll no longer be able to sell here. And if you don't pay for your store subscription, whether you decide to leave or not, eBay will send your account to collections, which will negatively affect your credit. There will be no class action suits, as you agreed to abide by eBay's policies when you started selling and eBay owns this website. The money will always remain in America, right in your bank account. If you leave, good luck wherever you sell, but the can of worms will remain unopened. We all loved PayPal, but they're gone for good.

1. This link is very informative and easy to follow.
2. No that isn't correct. When you create a shipping label on Ebay, you will have a choice, you can pay with MP funds or via PP. Seller choice.
3. See the answer to your question 1. This isn't PP anymore. I don't mean that to sound harsh, it is just a fact. PP is the most flexible program I've ever used. I sell on a couple other sites similar to Ebay and both sites have their own money processing programs that function quite a bit like MP, so I'm use to it.
Because MP as stated in the link I provided above, processes on Business days ONLY is why you won't get a transfer on a weekend.
Your store subscription only drives your store subscription and benefits. It has nothing to do with the rest of the rules on the site. But your UA does and yes you either need to abide by the UA [user agreement] or not. Your only choice is to move into MP or stop selling on Ebay. There is no middle ground once you have been told it is time to enter.
Oh if you decide to close your store and there is a termination fee due and owing to Ebay per the subscription agreement you accepted when you did the subscription, you will most certainly be responsible for paying it. While you may fight it and try not to have to pay it. At some point it will go to collections and hit your credit ratings too. There is no "can of worms" ebay is opening there. You agreed to a contract they are completely in the right to expect you to pay the fee if you want to exit early. A class action suit would go no where as you do have to have legal grounds in which to file one and you would have none since you agreed to the early termination fees when you accepted the contract.
You may want to read through the current UA agreement. It seems there are many things you've agreed to that you might be unaware of.
It is highly likely that Adyen does leave your money in the USA. Just because they are a Dutch company doesn't mean that they send the money there only to come back in a few hours to the US. That really doesn't even sound logical to me anyway.
Yes, much of what you are saying is incorrect. So before jumping to conclusions, you should take a breath, relax and try to learn about the actual process of MP with an open mind.
I'm in MP. I have chosen to have my payouts weekly. They are transferred every Tuesday morning and I have the funds in my bank like clockwork before noon the next day. It does seem that deposits arrive faster to larger banks than small local banks.
If you have more questions, please ask. But try not to jump to conclusions and make such an important decision on faulty information. Learn the facts and make an informed decision about what is best for you and your company.

To begin, I did not say the MP company was going to keep my money out of the country. I said I prefer to deal with American-based companies. It is time this country got back to using what supports this country, not another. If this is a Dutch-based company, then a U.S. company is not making money on the collection of sales, a Dutch company is.
Also, below is the Payment Methods Policy referred to in the user agreement. Nowhere in this does it state managed payments or the use of this Dutch company. NOWHERE!

Section 14 is specifically for MP. While it does not use the name Adyen in the policy, it does say they can use third party vendors.

This has a posting date at the bottom of June 18, 2020. My store subscription renews April 1.

That is the current UA.
Then you have a ways to go before you can change your subscription to a month to month without a penalty. Set yourself a reminder to take care of that in March if you still want to do that then or down grade your store.
