currently, my average total fee for sold item is 23 % (before managed payment I was around 18 %). I sell and ship from EU (Czech Republic), I list my items on ebay.com. I remember the nice sentence I saw when I was registering to managed payments. Something like "most sellers will see decrease in selling fees". I'm really curious what has gone bad in my case, my fees went from 18 % to 23 %....
Anyway, are there any options for me to lower fees? As I list my items on ebay.com, the currency of my listings is USD. But I live in EU so eBay pays me in EUR so there is very nice conversion fee of more than 3 %. I also pay international fee (most time around 3 %) and my country's VAT on all fees (21 % from all fees). The best thing about fees is that they are calculated from gross price (net price + any taxes buyer pays to eBay). E.g. when I sell to United Kingdom the taxes paid by buyer are 20 % of my price.
It became really expensive to sell internationally on eBay and I'm thinking of quitting eBay after more than 10 years... It is not profitable anymore.
