Managed Payments

I am so confused with the new Managed Payments.  I thought that all payments with enrollment of the new program would be via my Bank account.  Why am I getting an invoice for shipping costs to be deducted from my Pay Pal account.

My initial review from what I am seeing during the short time I have been in the MP system that I am losing/having deducted more fees than the old system .......is it just me?  If I am incorrect can someone give me a comparison of the before and after on a listing.

Is there any benefits now in including or not including shipping with this new system?

Managed Payments

You are getting a paypal invoice for shipping because that is the default funding source for shipping once you get into MP.   To change it, scroll way to the bottom of the shipping label page and check off MP as your new shipping payment source.  MP will then be the default unless you change it again.

 

The fee in MP, for most categories, is 12.55% plus 30 cents.   That fee is applied to everything the buyer pays, i.e. item, shipping and sales tax.
