Managed Payments

I'm only 4 days into these 'managed payouts' by Ebay and already it's smoke and mirrors. I spoke to Ebay over the weekend about this and they assured me that everything would be the same concerning funds availability and no more Paypal fees....sounded almost okay. I don't like the fact that Ebay has access to my bank account and the funds availability from Ebay vs Paypal is night and day. Paypal funds were available immediately and Ebay processing may be several business days. Also, after getting paid, I realized that my funds were on hold until I put my SS# in their files (not happy about that either). As for fees....Ebay has raised their final value fees to 12.35% from 10% and are charging that percentage on the sales tax that is collected too!!!!! This all added up to non-disclosure on the part of the agent I spoke to over the weekend and I am VERY ANNOYED by that. I don't think there is a way to opt out, but I certainly would have waited until after the holidays to get tied up in this nightmare. I do not feel comfortable with all my personal information floating around Ebay, as my account was already compromised once.

@oysterbaby

Fees for non store sellers are 12.35 % +.30 cents.  You will no longer pay separate Paypal fees.

Your SS# is required due to banking laws and incase a 1099K is required.    Paypal had your SS#

Your checking account information is required so that Adyen can deposit your money.

You can track your payouts on seller hub>

I have been selling with MP since August and I'm happy with it. Since I am a TRS+ seller my discount now applies to all of the seller's fees charged so I am actually paying less in fees overall.

Let me know if you have any questions

The fees will be close to what they were pre-MP.

Was 10% eBay FVF, and PP 2.9% + $0.30

Now no PP.  Just the 12.35% + $0.30

Yes, eBay is charging a higher %age on the sales tax portion, but the sales tax is a small part of the sale, and is somewhat offset by the  .55% overall fee reduction.

My fees seem to very close when the sales tax rate is around 6%.  fees a bit more on higher tax, and for the lower, and no sales tax locations, the fees are lower.

Just have to adapt and get used to these changes and expect more, so we can continue to sell. Its hard to lose the PayPal payments I know but you will need to work around it. In MP set your payments to weekly so the money ends up in your account each week like clock work. Get a separate bank account for ebay.

There wasnt a .30 charge prior for each item. Plus if buyer cancels their winning bid- now the seller gets charged .30 bc buyer cancelled.

@courtnegoldstei_0   Paypal charged the .30 cents per transaction fee unless you were on the micropayments.  MP doesn't have a micropayments system so that really does hurt those sellers.

If a buyer cancels a sale now you get back all of your fees except for the .30 cents.

PayPal did not refund their 2.9% or .30 cents either.

Not sure where you were that there was no $0.30 charge.  The $0.30 is per transaction, not per item. (it was per item for a while, but MP stopped doing that)

For years PP also kept the $0.30 transaction fee when a buyer was refunded.
