Managed Payments - Sales stopped

My store switched to Managed Payments overnight Monday. It's now 8:35 am on Tuesday and I have made ZERO sales.  I don't have a huge store, but I typically sell 5-10 things a day.  I got eBay support on a chat and they had me do a blank bulk update of all my listing.  That was around an hour ago, so not enough time to tell if it made a difference.  I see nothing else that could be blocking orders.   I suppose it could be a coincidence, but wondering if anyone else experienced this, and what you did to address it?  Thank you

Managed Payments - Sales stopped

I was converted to managed payments in late July of this year.  My sales have taken a nose dive ever since.  I'm still doing the same routine as before where I list new items each day, promote on various social media sites and changing items to free shipping on over 50% of my items.  There could be a number of reasons why the drop in sales.  I'm going to go with the pandemic and the economy that is in a shambles state right now.  I can only speak for myself and my items that I sell but I don't sell "necessary" items to survive such as food, clothing, etc.  I sell as well on other sites but have not had the same drop in sales.  I'm looking into Facebook Marketplace and may move some of my items there.  Keep your chin up.  During this economic times, it can be rough.

My sales have been great through the pandemic, but I've also been steadily growing the size of my store.  I can't blame it on the market.  It's clearly tied to the MP somehow.

Managed Payments - Sales stopped

I was switched to MP in August and did experience a slow down but not a stop. I am NOW experiencing it. I hardly ever get international sales and that's ALL I'm getting and only a very few. NO USA sales AT ALL (other than people that I had previously been in contact with). I called ebay several times and they said nothings wrong, my account looks good and that its just slow for some sellers right now. They also d

id the  "Update to sync my store to ebay and that seemed to make it worse. I think there is an issue with ebay but im not sure what it is. I have to say I do have quite a few people looking but not watchers. It is possible that it is "Election" time and that people are nervous. They tend to pull back on the buying but still look around.

Also, I have ALL of my listing PROMOTED on ebay. This typically generates SOME business but NOPE.. NOTHING at all. So, hand in there (as I will) and hopefully what ever the issue is it will clear up soon. But, I do have an intuitive feeling that there is something wrong that they just havent figured out yet. SO lets cross our fingers and hope they see the issue and fix it. whatever it is.

Thanks.  Helpful response.  I don't promote anything, but may change that.  I continue to get watchers, so clearly people are seeing the listings.  At this point, I'd just like to see one sale go through to confirm the payment system works.  I'm considering having friends place a couple small orders just to see what the experience is like, and that it all works properly.

MP will not cause a problem with your sales. Two weeks ago I went all week without a sale. Then over the weekend I sold 16 items. Since then I have sold 2 items. EBay is what eBay is. Sales rarely make any rationale sense. If you can see your items and you have watchers there is nothing to stop a sale.

Thanks for the response.  Yeah I totally get how quirky ebay sales can be.  I've experienced the same thing.  It just seemed like a huge coincidence that it happened exactly when MP transitioned.  Hopefully that's all it is.

Correlation does not imply causation.
