Managed Payments Issues

Recently, I enrolled in Ebay Mangeed Payments for sellers because the indicastion was that my selling acount would be limited if I did not switch from Paypal to Managed Payments. I have been very disappointed and frankly, I feel defrauded by Ebay, because I still have not received funds in my account from a sale 3 days ago. I miss Paypal, when I transferred the funds to my bank account myself, and the money was available the next day. I would like to hear from other disgruntled sellers and discuss ways around this inferior system.

Fingers crossed we find a new place. I know I already  found a couple places for some of my items. This would be a great time for PayPal or anybody to be competition.

I don't like the "managed pay" system. I am not a big seller (on eBay or anywhere else). I have been selling on eBay for about 15 years and have sold a total of about $60,000 and probably paid eBay about $10,000 and I am probably going to quit selling on eBay as soon as I have to go to managed pay. I don't think I am going to set up an account (have one already tied to PayPal) the way eBay wants. I am not going to keep a few hundred dollars in an account that can be impacted by a third party, to protect against problems that might arise (such as lack of funds, returns, problems with returns etc. ). It is just not worth my effort for the returns I get. I loved the PayPal way of doing business and that is the only form of payment I would accept and it worked extremely well without having to worry about delayed payments or transferring funds.

It is eBay's business and they can do what they want.  I think they are shooting themselves in the foot and will cost them over time. If they ever go back to the PayPal method I would go back to selling on eBay.

I hate this new system.  I'm having the same problems getting my money to my bank account.  In addition I have tried all morning to try to figure out how to print a packing slip - something that  is easy with Paypal - and can't seem to manage it.  I hate this knew system but I have been forced into it.  I sure wish e-Bay wasn't the only game in town.

Please knock off the bickering.

Some of us have a real problem with MP and I resent being forced to use it.   I'm looking for ways around it or ways to change it not some back and forth arguments.  You like it?  Good for you.  I don't so stop putting those of us that don't down and just be on your way if you have no help to offer.

E-Bay wonders why they are not as profitable as they once were?  They only have to look at the policies they have implemented  over the past couple of years.

Right now I'm looking for another way to sell besides e-Bay but doubtful I will find one.

Absolutely true!! I hate to do it...but will be increasing my handling time also. When I went through paypal...it was paid almost instantly! I believe Ebay is holding money to get interest..and to avoid Paypal getting part of the money. GREED is the word...not "helping the seller" in any way. Also not helping the buyer who will now wait several more days before their item is sent out....while the seller waits for the funds to appear in their account.

Why would ANYONE think this is better for either the buyer or the seller? Who doesn't want to get paid immediately and ship out immediately? eBay has to be profiting from this big time. There is nothing good about this system...predictable ...flexible ...convenient....NOT! Why not let the users decide before Ebay becomes a thing of the past due to their own new flawed policies?

I am very disgruntled myself with eBay forcing us to move away from Paypal.  I like the Idea that the funds where in my account before I was shipping the sold items.  Now they (eBay) can hold my funds and everyone else, and I have to ship the sold item.   Are they not making enough money from their fees that they are now trying to increase holding to increase interest revenue?

If someone comes out with a similar platform I'll switch in a heartbeat.

Wrong, I am required now to go thru managed payments.  PayPal is no longer available.  This is not an option, this is now the only way to sell and receive your funds.

Since it takes a couple days for Ebay to receive the funds and once they receive them, they send them to your checking account.

Where is all this holding money and earning interest taking place that a bunch of you talk about?

Have a great day.

They did let users decide if they wanted to sign up or not.

No one forced you to sign up, that was your choice.

Have a great day.

You have a choice, sign up and keep selling or don't sign up and sell somewhere else.

No one is forcing you to sign up.

Have a great day.

Too bad trying to sign up just gives me,

"We couldn’t verify this bank account. Please provide a different bank account."

...so, DO continue trying to tell us how great this new system is when it wasn't broken before.

It’s awful. I have $1000 pending and it’s been 48 hours. I already shipped three laptops and I have zero cash to show for it. I’m leaving eBay after 20 years this is a travesty.

Please what’s the best one you have used? I’m leaving immediately. eBay **bleep**ed everyone who pays their bills.
