Managed Payments Accounting ... an absolute convoluted mess ...

This week I did my 3Q20 Quarterly report for the state Tax ID plus prepped for year end totals (Sales, Paid Shipping, Refunds, monthly Invoices, etc.).  Wow, what a convoluted mess ... some things were NOT where the MP rep told me they would be when I spoke to them after entering MP ... The CSV database is missing info and the Financial Summary is just junk ...

It took over twice as long to complete the task ... which what I sort of expected ... I am not impressed at all.

They changed the download reports not too long ago and it's a mess.

Thanks for the scares up? Oops...Heads up. eBay's Accounting practices.....Not at their finest moment!!! Maybe the next improvements will include...1 complimentary CPA..Just add water and stir!!

Been selling on Line and here since 2002. MP accounting is a absolute mess

In the 5 plus years as a Seller I just don't recall reading or seeing ANY threads on people pooh-poohing PayPal's accounting documentation ... zero-zip-zilch.  You would "think" eBay would have thought, "gee, let's start with what people already know and are accustom to for the accounting piece and then maybe take suggestions after that" ...

I lobbied for that type of comprehensive database and of course on numerous occasions was told it was passed on the department that handles that, etc, etc.   Oh well ...

I thought the same thing would happen when MP was a sticky note on someone's wall. It wasn't like, we have a rock, let's replace it with another rock.

They could have gone....Heyyyyy, lets find something like PayPal and improve on it. Instead they went with....Let's find something like PayPal and then go out and see if we can find something mirror opposite in awesome features that the majority of users know and love!!! Atleast Us(eBay) will get paid first, all the time!!!!
