I own an independant brick & mortar bookstore in Flint Mchigan and also sell on ebay. Because of the INFORM legislation recently passed by congress, ebay has tightened up some of its rules for sellers. A few months ago, I received a MC011 notification saying that my back account cannot be verified and that my account has been restricted. I know that the name on my ebay account has to match the name on my bank statement. The problem is that my ebay business account is in my personal name and the name on my bank account is the name of my store, Totem Books LLC. My bank will not let me open a new business acount in my personal name. Short of legaly changing my personal name to Totem Books LLC, or opening up a new account in my personal name at a different bank, is there any way to fix this? I'm sure I'm not the only small business owner on ebay who is dealing with this problem.

Can't you just change the name on your eBay account to match what your bank account is? That is not going to change your username. Go into account personal, then make sure what is in payout section matches.
When that is done I would suggest clearing your browsing and cache history to make sure nothing is still hidden there.

I'm sure the bot won't care what ever you put down as your account name. Only that it matches your bank.
I've had to change my account name to match my bank then when that was accepted, change it again to match the name on the accompanying docs.
