I sold an item and discovered that the buyer lived very close to me. I contacted the buyer and we arranged a local pickup. I did not have local pickup as an option when I listed the item. (I obviously should have researched this before I made the local delivery.) How to I get my funds released is my question, I guess, as I will not be shipping the item? How does he confirm that he received the item? Please help. Thanks.

This just happened to me last week... I'd never done it, either. Have the buyer pay through eBay... the buyer will be sent a Qr code and a 6-digit 'marker' after payment. When I met with my buyer, he gave me the 6-digits and I entered them into the tracking field, when I marked the item as 'Picked up'. So far, so good...

Edit: There's also a way to do it if you're paid cash... I was so green that I asked my buyer to pay through eBay.
