I bought a book on eBay. The seller is in Kentucky and I'm in Ohio. Paid for book on January 2nd. Item went to shipper on the 4th. I get a email on the 5th saying item delivered to residence hand. I contacted seller and they stand by their claim that I got it. Filed a complaint with eBay and they sided with the seller. How can you expect me to believe that a book is delivered to me a day after it is ordered. It was free shipping, not overnight or any other option. Blue care express was the shipper and I contacted them and they claim I was handed the package. Seller , shipper, and ebay are responsible for theft.

You can appeal this, but first you need to do some homework.
First, check your purchase on this item and make sure your ship to address was correct. Don't assume, actually check it out.
Was the carrier USPS?
Was the zip code on the tracking the same as yours? If it wasn't, you should have won the claim.
If it was the same zip code, Contact your local PO, give them the tracking number and ask them to take a look at the details of the tracker. While they won't tell you the address that the item was shipped to, you can verify if it was your address on the Payment to the seller or if it was shipped to a different address and/or a different name. The name is important too, so ask. Again they won't tell you the name, but they can confirm if it was your name or not..
Now with this information it is time to contact Ebay again.

I completely understand what you are going through. I just had a similar thing happen to me. The tracking on my item did show the same zip code as mine, but USPS confirmed for me that it was not delivered or addressed to my name or address.
If you find that to be true about yours too, the seller committed a fraud.
Please come back and tell us what you find out.

I remember the time I had a package go missing. USPS DC claimed delivery. Seller was off the hook because DC showed delivery.
Address and zip were all correct. Delivery time stamp was when nobody was home Maybe somebody stole it?
Checked around the outside of the house and looked for the package. No go. Asked the neighbor if he got it by mistake. No go.
About that time my wife asked me what I was looking for? I told her I had a package from eBay go missing and USPS said they delivered it.
Wife says, Oh yeah! I picked that up yesterday and left it in the garage. Forgot to tell you.
Sorry.................😁
