Item not as described after best offer made

Hi there,

I recently put in an offer for a bike that was described as a gravel bike. The seller accepted the offer and is now requesting payment, but when I was researching what tyres I would need for the bike, I realised that the model is not actually a gravel bike at all, and so isn't the item I am looking for. I have tried messaging the seller re this 3 times however they have not responded to any of my messages, instead only sending a payment reminder. How can I resolve this?

The seller has also since relisted the item.

Thanks,

Owen

3 options, pay for item, since, after all, you did indeed submitted an offer, then claim a item not as described and go through the process of returning and waiting for refund. Turn around time will be at least 3 weeks or so, depending on how long shipping takes. That means that your money will be tied up for this time frame.

Or, just completely disregard payment, get a payment strike on you. and proceed accordingly. Be aware that some sellers filter out buyers that have at least 2 non payment strikes in a 12 month period.

Finally, ask seller to cancel, indicate that you mistakenly though it was a different type of bike. Hopefully, seller will agree to your request using, buyer requested to cancel as excuse, but at the same time they can disregard it, and within 3-4 days you get hit with no payment strike.

Well if you dont pay you may get an unpaid strike.

Such as two of these and you will find your self blocked buy a lot of sellers.

Ask the seller to cancel the sale by you request: they do not have to do so, but most will.
