Item marked paid but only received partial payment?

Sold an item for $59.95 and received an email saying buyer paid but in checking the payment details I see they only paid $14.95

How is this possible?

I can't respond to the email part, but what does it say in your Seller Hub/Payments/Transaction section?

It looks to me like it sold for 59.95 plus 4.95 shipping.

Not sure how they were able to even only pay 14.95.

Re-check your orders page to verify what the payment was.

It was a buy it now listing for $59.95, no best offer feature. I've seen some strange things on the bay but....

yeah, it wasn't a glitch, apparently I sent a best offer on the wrong item
