Import charges

Hello,

Does anybody know why eBay charges me Import charges when I'm buying from Great Britain and shipping is through Global Shipping Program? I'm from Czech Republic and by Czech and GB goverments until end of this year, 31.12.2020 buying from GB is without any taxes, fees, like GB is still in EU. Next year will change, depends on deals. I wrote to seller, He doesn't know, I wrote to eBay support, they don't know.

Could someone answer me? Many thanks.

Import charges

Yo may want to ask this on the UK board. I doubt any US users here would know. Only thing I can think of is if the product was being drop shipped or it's origin is from outside the EU.

Import charges

If you read the Global Shipping Program terms and user agreement it explains that Pitney-Bowes does not arrange or broker International shipping, clear customs and re-label and sometimes re-package for free. They charge a handling fee to ship some items, and that handling fee is added to the Import Fee, which means that even if an item doesn't incur a customs fee you could still see a small import fee in the shipping details.
