I want to continue to use Paypal for selling, if I can't, I won't use Ebay. I don't want the hassle of having monies sent straight to my bank account. It's inconvenient, harder to check for payments, etc. takes too long. ( paypal is instant.) and just not as safe. I want the two kept seperate. How do I do this?

Probably best to say your farewells on your home site.

You still can. Buyers are free to use paypal if they choose.
The OP wants to use PayPal for selling, not for buying.

I keep on hearing about sellers who need to check for payments
I do not see the need for that when seller hub lets you know when to ship

For me it's less of a hassle. I used to have to transfer funds from Paypal to my bank account, now they are there automatically, one less step.

How can you say it's harder to check for payments when you're not enrolled in managed payments and have never done it?

Hi @rosycrow
If you want to continue using PayPal for selling ... you will have to move to a selling venue that still uses PayPal to process payments for sellers.
I understand that there are smaller selling venues that still use PayPal ... but all of the larger ones use something that works like Managed Payments.

Back in the day, I still wanted to use Billpoint when eBay replaced it with PayPal as its in-house payment processor. That didn't happen, of course, but my wife and I adapted to the change and did all right by it.
If you can't or won't adapt your business practices, then, yes, you'll have to sell elsewhere. If you're willing to adapt, you'll likely find that things aren't as bad as you thought. I'm sure your competitors are hoping you'll make what they think is the right choice, though.

and?
He can sell an item to a buyer that pays with paypal. We all can. I currently do.
Nothing has changed there.

That isn't what the Op was referring to. The specifically stated "for Selling". And that they can not do under any circumstance once Ebay tells them it is time to move into MP.

That and the fact that most if not all banks that have websites where you can track your accounts online have the ability for you to set preferences for the site.
There are usually security settings and much more. For my bank they allow for me to require an email every single time a deposit is made to my account. It works GREAT. I can also set security for notification on withdrawals over a certain amount and all kinds of useful things.
It is highly likely that most sellers have access to such preferences on their bank's website too.

The point was that this was NOT the OP's concern and they were pretty specific even in their short post. You are talking about something different, not the concern of the OP. True as it is, it just simply wasn't what the OP asked.

There is no way to do That anymore. Sorry.

Would you mind explaining what "hassle" it presents for you having your money go into your bank account? That would likely help us all better understand why you are so concerned.
I know some US sellers have said that [I know you are in the UK] because they got it into their heads that it would mean that the IRS would learn of their online sales. Which is the wrong way to look at that. Since tax evasion is a federal crime here in the US. Most sellers in the US need to be claiming their online sales on their tax returns, but many resist that the best they can.

Good luck selling elsewhere. But forget Mercari, Etsy, Amazon, and all the other on-line venues you may be thinking of because they all use managed payment systems similar to eBay's (and some even use the same payment processor, Adyen)
I guess you can sell at flea markets, or use Craigs List or the classified ads in your local paper.
Happy trails!

"You can't use PayPal for payment..." Buyers are free to use PP if they would like to. It is sellers that can not have any payments from an Ebay transaction go into their PP account. Two different things.
Poshmark and Offerup too, as they have money processing programs as well. You will have to use much smaller sites that don't get near the traffic if you want to sell and have your money go into PP.

All of the parts that are being identified as the definition of "selling"
So all of it because that nonsensical word salad is not what selling means.
