I can't seem to be able to update my my bank info for MP....
Provided routing and account #s...
No matter what I do I get the red banner with
****We couldn't verify this bank account. Please select a different payment method.****
Name is the exact match, so is the address.... Called eBay, after 20min "try this" or "try that" was told "you need to get a bank account with a bigger bank"....?

3rd rep- whole new story. After 20 mins back and forth I insisted to be transferred to speak with somebody who was in charge (team manager, I guess).
The issue is not just my issue. Apparently, there are technical difficulties with brand new accounts entering MPs and IT team works on fixing it. At least that sounded more like true.
So, all I can do now is sit tight and wait till it is fixed.
Still a lousy excuse. When you are messing with people's money the process they have been sending your and others through is ridiculous and unacceptable IMHO.
I want to tag this thread just for tracking purposes regarding continued problems with consistent information from CSRs but more importantly how one's money can get significantly held up without ANY real action by Ebay for weeks.

Bay Managed Payments is a total disaster compared to PayPal, and just a great example of eBay trying to make money with **bleep** technical and service based me-toos. I do agree with this thread - Managed Payments has a huge issue with names, spaces, characters, etc. and if everything does not match EXACTLY then it goes haywire, hits the fraud unit, they demand documentation (if you are that lucky) and otherwise just freezes you out without adequate explanation. Try escalating above the **bleep** customer service levels that you get just calling in, to find someone who can document trace.

While I absolutely agree there are a heck of a lot of problems with the registration process, it is important to keep in mind that the "matching exactly" is NOT an issue because of MP programming. It is because FEDERAL law now REQUIRES this information to match exactly. So if it doesn't, then the system will show there is an error.
There are specific requirements that Money Processor MUST follow now in regards to verifying someone's identity. So while I am with you that Ebay could have and should have done a much better job with this process, it isn't all in Ebay's lap. But with that said, that still leaves SERIOUS issues with the registration process that IS within Ebay's control.

Not for everyone, some don't have any problems at all with it and it works just fine.

I ran into this when I onboarded to MP 2+ years ago. Seems they had issues with my checking account (business name) not matching my eBay account. Took a couple of days working with the MP cust service dept to get it all straitened out and approved. Slow, frustrating process, but its done and has worked as expected ever since.

EXCELLENT advice. I've mentioned this myself many times. I don't know why it works, but it certainly can.

Every time I try, I start adding from scratch

Happened to me, too. I took it as a sign..... (smiles!) I've moved on but still buying. I hope you'll be luckier. Maybe it's a numbers thing? Keep trying, then success!

I know this sounds sort of dumb, but ensure you have cookies, temp documents, and so forth. Cleared out if you're on a pocket book, or strive some otherpage. If you're at the app, clean out any vintage information you'll be honestly having problems with how the records entry web page is rewriting.

The advice is normally the opposite. Clear your cookies and cache. Can you explain further why that is not good advice please?

Update:
As of today, 17 days later, I was finally told ( I would rather say, guessed) what the issue was and I was able to upload my bank info.
The original bank account # consisted of 7 digits (yes, not very common, but possible) and eBay system would not recognize my 7-digit account.
So had to open an account with a different bank with a 13-digit account number.
Everything went as smooth as it only could after that.

Excellent news. Congratulations.

I had similar issues with a bank that I am using on other eBay selling accounts - I had to go into the manual bank setup and not use the automated links - they have a bug of some sort. Anyway, the manual setup seems to have worked for me at least.
