Hi everyone. I created an ad to start selling, when I create an ad it asks me to add a payment method to pay the taxes, I add a debit card and it doesn't accept it. It's the same card I used for payments on ebay and it successfully accepted, but it won't let me add when I try to post my ad. it tells me that the billing address is wrong. my payoneer account is ok. Thank you

If your billing address on the debit account is different than your eBay account, it will kick it back and will not accept it. Check and see if they match and try it again. Good Luck

You need a Managed Payments account and that has to be attached to a checking account with a bank.
And your name on the MP account, the eBay account, and the checking account must all match.
And your SSN.

The op is in the DR and us@loulabs Payoneer.
@Anonymous
I didn't know that users in countries with Payoneer accounts had to also attach a credit card. I wonder if you were given the right information.

If they tried to open a dotCOM account that might also be the problem, since only US residents have to pay US income taxes.
(I know about the billing of expat Yanks.)

Is your debit card listed in your payment options on your Payments page?

The seller does not pay sales tax.
The BUYER pays sales tax to his local government.
EBay charges fees on the buyer's Entire Payment, which includes the selling price, the shipping charge, and the sales tax which is on the same invoice, but which is not touched by the seller.
This is Standard Practice in the payment processing industry. We paid our credit card processor (Moneris) fees on Ontario sales taxes from the day we got our first merchant credit card account in the late 1970s.
I suspect you mean eBay fees.
Taxes are paid to governments.
Fees are paid to companies (and governments too sometimes).
