How should a buyer reverse a refund?

I got a full refund from ebay, sort of by mistake. What's the best way to re-pay some or all of the cost to the seller?

What happened:

1. I bought & paid for a used car part. I received it. It was damaged and did not fit (the description said it was in fine working order).

2. I contacted the seller, asking to keep the item but get a partial refund.

3. Seller said, OK, please open a request through ebay.
4. I opened a return/refund request.

5. Seller did nothing. After several days, ebay stepped in and gave me a full refund.

6. After refund, seller contacted me asking when I would return the item.

7. I said, uhhh, what?

So what's the best way for me to pay some of the money...again? The paypal transactions are just from ebay, not the seller directly. The seller has been open and communicative. Neither of us is trying to scam the other.

Thanks.

The seller could request money through PayPal. Good luck.

Do you mean, the seller would give me his paypal address and I would pay him directly?
