I have received the dreaded invitation to join MP. It would be convenient for that to happen around May 15th. I was wondering, as long as they are happy with your banking info, how long is it taking between signing up and ebay stopping PayPal deposits? Is there an average time frame? I'll close my secondary account, since it has been invited to join a week later, either moving stuff to the main account or the garage sale/Goodwill box.

Jeez, they shouldn't be doing an auto add (if they indeed have) with that info because people change banks, although we did not. I sold some rubber duckies this morning, I suspect that is my last PayPal transaction.
So they basically added you to Managed Payments without making sure the banking information was correct and up to date? Your rubber duckies show GPay as a payment option and your current listings have GPay so yes, you have been hijacked into Managed Payments.

MP, once the "invitation" was received was inevitable. Enrolling me when I was just seeing what all they would ask for, and when I clicked "add later" when checking info was clearly not given is definitely being hijacked. Will be interesting if I can now even find my way back to the spot where bank info is input. Or maybe they do have ten year old info that still happens to be correct because we haven't changed banks lately (although I can't imagine having given them checking account instead of a CC for an alternate funding source). Wonder how many people have got caught like I was, some perhaps having not yet made arrangements to open a second checking account (as a non-business and winding down downsizing I decided not to bother with a separate account).

If you haven't yet, you need to go to your MP account and select that checking account for your deposits.

I'm telling you in this day and age of technology, the banks need to get with it and speed up their handling time. They work too darn slow.
It depends on your bank.
My funds are in my checking account the next morning from the time they send them.

I can tell you from experience that Managed Payments is no more or less sleazy than PayPal. Okay, the 4-6 days that it takes to get paid under Managed Payments is pretty sleazy compared to the 2 days that PayPal takes.

OK, so they grabbed me into MP when I was just in the exploration mode. They did not have any banking info from anything we may have given them in the past, I just updated with my checking account now. Looks like the April invoice, which usually would come from PayPal around May 17th, is coming from checking -- I checked to see why I already owed MP $30 and my April bill is $25 so that's most of it.

Your active listings will sell in the manner in which they are listed at the time the change occurs. You have listings up that end in 12 days, for example. If you have listings to spare, you might want to End and Relist some/all of them to buy yourself another 30 days under PayPal.
Just thinking outside the box. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Has something changed ?
Used to be that all active listings would be automatically updated to use Managed Payments, except for:
- Active auctions that has already received a bid
- Active listings with outstanding offers / counteroffers.
... the kind of listings that you, the seller, would not be able to revise.
