How in the heck do I add a back account to get paid?

I haven't sold anything yet.  Do I need to wait until something has sold?  I've clicked everything I can click trying to find where to add checking account info.  I literally don't have the option.  No idea how I am supposed to get paid if/when someone bids.

Help.

You can update your checking account details in Seller Hub or My eBay.

To update your checking account details in Seller Hub:

  1. Go to Payments in Seller Hub.
  2. Select Edit next to Payout method.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

To update your checking account details in My eBay:

  1. Go to Payments in your My eBay.
  2. Select Edit under your bank account labeled Used for payouts.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

It usually takes 2 business days for changes to be confirmed.

I am not an eBay employee but I sure feel like one sometimes

Go to the Seller Hub and click the Payments tab.

If Ebay is ready for you to sign up, you should be able to there.

Have A Great Day.

How in the heck do I add a back account to get paid?

Hi there. Like OP, I’m a prospective first time seller trying to figure out how to add my checking account.

When I click on the payments tab, it says eBay is *not* ready for me to sign up. Does this mean that I can’t sell on eBay yet? It seems like they will let me post a listing, but I want to make sure I can get paid before I do.

Ahhh... not very intuitive but apparently I needed to actually sell something before being given the option to add the account.

First sale in the books... now I just have to find a way around this silly 5 listing per month limit.

thanks!

As I’ve just learned, you will not be given the option to add a checking account until after you’ve made a sale.

after making the sale you will receive prompts directing you to add checking account.

Usually the only way around the listing requirements is to list and sell, ship on time, follow the rules and after time and successful sales you will be allow more.

Best to read all the information in the Sell area at the bottom of the page.

Good Luck!

@failedthiscity   If you are getting that message then you still use PayPal to receive the money from your Buyers.  Once eBay is ready to put your account in Managed Payments you can update your bank account information.  Just a word of caution, when that day comes you need to make sure your name on your eBay account AND your checking account are the exact same.
