How does receiving buyers shipping money work?

Title is a bit confusing, and I'm sure its been asked before, but i recently sold my old graphics card on eBay, the person who bought it was in Russia and as setup in my auction, international non us shipping was 75$. Since I'm a new seller and I'm assuming graphics cards are one of their high scam sections, it will take 30 or so days to get my money, that isn't really the issue. but on my eBay payment summary page, i have the approximately -75$ cost to ship to the individual, and only the auctions payout without the shipping money in the on hold section. so not only is my current balance now negative 75$, but I'm only receiving the 510 that my gpu went for without the 75$ shipping the buyer paid, so will i just be out that 75$ i spent or will it also be added and its not showing up in the payment summary?

You should have received the $510 plus the $75 for shipping as per the listing - you pay for the shipping out of pending funds at the bottom of the shipping page.

If you have not already sent this item I am going to advise something I normally would not do.

I would cancel the sale and refund the buyer - use the Problem with Buyer Address, you will get a ding on your account if the buyer reports you, but I would take that risk.

The NUMBER ONE place I will never ship to is Russian Fed - it is known for scammers and their Customs Service also have an attrocious record for dishonesty.

Something this expensive try to sell within Canada/USA.

I won’t disagree with your advice.  I do not like selling to buyers In Russia.

I just sold $485 worth of items to a buyer in Russia, through GSP.  Odd feedback - buys about fifteen to twenty items from a seller, moves on to the next, and that pattern repeats over several years.

My guess/hope is that he is a reseller, or that he really loves to bundle items for purchase.  At the end of the day, it is a risk, but I consider it an informed gamble.  If things work out, and I have another good buyer, That is a big win.  If I’m scammed, I’m out maybe $160 for the actual cost of what I sent.

already sent it, however I'm not very worried if they are a scammer as I have taken photos at every step of the process to prove it was sent, I even have photos of the package being stamped at the post office for confirmation of acceptance as well as a copy of the receipt and the package has tracking, will however be having them require a signature on delivery for extra security. anyhow, ill have to give ebay support a ring then to have them fix the pending funds then

I just sent a $3.50 Diecast Vehicle to the Russian Federation.  The shipping is way more than the vehicle.  Do you think I will be ripped off?

I’ve shipped once to Russia, through the Global Shipping Program, and the only problem I had was that the buyer left negative feedback claiming that the item was damaged when they received it.  I contacted eBay through Facebook and pointed out that it was a GSP sale, and damage could have occurred owing to the package being repackaged at the GSP.  eBay removed the negative feedback.

If your gpu sold for $510, you wouldn't receive $510. Surely you know that. You would receive ($510 + $75) MINUS the eBay selling fee (typically 12.55%); in this case, eBay's fee would be almost exactly $75. What is the exact amount of your expected payout?
