How do you undo automatic payments?

I think I just accepted automatic payments for items I win on auctions. Does anyone know where I can go to undo this and have it where it was before I selected it?

Sellers control whether a valid payment method is required for bids or offers on those sellers' items.

eBay controls whether each buyer account is subject to those requirements.

Buyers have no direct control over that requirement when making bids or offers for those sellers' items.

You can see which payment method eBay is using in your Payments here:

How do you undo automatic payments?

I was just opted into this when I made an offer for this item, before I did not have to do this with AUCTION items.  I received the message with this title: Thanks for selecting a payment method for Best Offer and Auctions!

I don't care about the best offers, I just want the option to pay manually on auctions I win like I did previously. Can anyone show me how to get back to doing this?

That is up to the individual seller now.

eBay has put you into the "test".

You cannot "opt out" of the "test" to resume paying manually.

As eburtonlab posted, the seller can "opt out" of having anyone in the "test" preauthorize for autopayment, but as it is an "all buyers, or none" thing some sellers may not want to.

As a seller, I have unchecked the requirements boxes. Pay me, OK. Don't pay me, OK. I know how to deal with it.

Problem that seems to be coming up for those in the "test" is that eBay may have started "locking in" the "payment source" rather than allowing the buyer to choose each time.

You might try asking individual sellers if they're willing to turn off the "requirement payment before bidding" option.  It was forced on everyone without much (if any) notice, and sellers have to manually disable that feature in their "Buyer preferences" page.  As a seller I was unaware of this until someone pointed it out to me.

The link is here:

Hope this helps.

I hate this feature as well. I had the issue just a few days ago where I got a $10 coupon if I was to make a $50 purchase (w/o shipping costs) in their app and there was no way for me to add the item I made an offer on to a bulk purchase. It would just charge for the total offer amount and no coupon could be applied.

So I made an offer using one of my stored payment methods and then deleted all my payment methods. I was then able to pay for all my items + the offer item in the same cart while using the $10 coupon ebay gave me. That offer item helped put me over the $50 threshold I needed so I could use the $10 off $50 coupon for an in-app purchase.

It's a pain in the rear deleting and adding payment methods, but it's the only way I know to make a manual payment for an item you made an offer on.
