Dear sellers,
I'm opened the Payoneer account 2021-07-31
and successfully verified my account. Date of 2021-08-06 I received a email "Your eBay account was connected successfully" (screenshot date 2021-08-20)
I have a question,
I want to know how do we link a Payoneer account to eBay.
Thank you
Best regards
Danushka Chaturanga.

@mavdanu, who sent you the email? Was it from Payoneer?
If Payoneer has told you that your eBay account was connected successfully, then I think that you have already linked your Payoneer account to eBay.
According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, it appears that people in Sri Lanka need to register as a business first, in order to be able to receive payments in foreign currency, to their BFCA (Business Foreign Currency Account). Here's a link to their website, then click on CAN YOU ACCEPT FOREIGN CURRENCY AS EARNINGS FROM YOUR BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN SRI LANKA?
Then, you need to register for eBay managed payments, and you will need to have (or create) a Payoneer account when you do that. Your bank account, Payoneer account and eBay account all need to match, so if your bank account is a business account, your Payoneer and eBay accounts have to be business accounts too, and your name and address have to be spelled exactly the same. Payoneer will verify your identification documents, which may take a few days, or a few weeks.
For sellers in Sri Lanka, Managed Payments will be able to deposit your payments into your Payoneer account. Here's more information about managed payments for sellers outside the USA. There are other links on the export.ebay.com website that have a lot of information that should be helpful for you.

You're the first Sri Lankan to ask this... maybe the first to make it this far. Good going!
Unfortunately, you're on the US board where we don't use Payoneer. You may find information on the Asian board, but, again... I'm not sure that they could advise you on Sri Lankan regulations. Good luck to you.

Is this a valid payment method in your country??
Do the laws of your country allow this???
You do need to find this out...

Did eBay approve of your bank account? Your payments are sent to your checking account via Payoneer.
Is the name on your National ID, your bank account, and Payoneer identical?
eBay will send you an email telling you the date your account will be activated.

@mtgraves7984, what asian board do you suggest? OP will be listing on eBay.com, as a global seller. This is the community board for that eBay website. There are many eBay sellers on eBay.com who use Payoneer.

@donsdetour, yes, Payoneer is valid in Sri Lanka, for business members at least.

Thank you. Good to know. I'd read a post from a (knowledgeable) Canadian yesterday that recommended the Asian board to a poster (regarding Payoneer), but I didn't go back and 'fact-check'... theirs was a response to an OP not in Sri Lanka.
My mistake.
Is there a board for these Payoneer questions to be referred to?? 🤔

@mtgraves7984, in all honesty, I don't know of a better forum than this one. We have, actually, been able to work out a lot of the correct answers. This group of posters, on this forum, is pretty good at figuring out the right answers to any questions that come our way.
I know that some regular posters are annoyed with questions from global sellers, but I don't know anywhere else to suggest that they should go to get good help. I do wish that new or aspiring sellers would stop posting vague, open-ended questions that don't really have answers ... but questions like this one are reasonable.
eBay promotes ebay.com as a website for global sellers. They even have specific pages for global sellers in the help pages, for example:
https://export.ebay.com/en/first-steps/how-use-ebay-seller-account/how-to-create-seller-account/
There is a choice of languages in the drop-down; I see options for English, Spanish, Hebrew and Portuguese. They have profiles of global sellers from all around the world.
There isn't a "Community" link on those pages, but if you navigate from there to a regular eBay page, then the Community link leads to this community.

^^^ Very well put. (The link and screenshots pay bonus points!) I should have cut my losses and only patted the OP on the back... not made references to a board I knew nothing about. My apologies, @mavdanu.
I think this is a reasonable question, too, and it's one we're likely to hear again and again. Great delivery. Thanks! 😊

I wish some of the Sri Lankan sellers would respond to these posts and or share details of process that they went through that enabled them to list/ sell on eBay.
