This this bullcrap. How in the hell am I suppose to know eBay gift cards can't be used to buy gift cards? Is there a way to return my eBay eGift to eBay as the store doesn't refund gift cards? The merchant I bought it from mentions absolutely nothing about gift cards can't be used to buy gift cards. However, years ago I was able to buy eBay gift cards at a Staples store WITH Staples gift cards.

Money laundering and scams are the reason. Scammers like to use gift card to steal money. It's even better if you can then flip that into different card so your not using the victims card numbers when you shop

Well... it's in the online instructions.

I may not have thought to go there first, but I'd never have thought to buy a gift card only to redeem it for a like gift card. (Your eBay/Staples example is apples to oranges.) If I might ask... why would one do that? Just curious...
