What were you trying to purchase? Gift cards can't be used in some categories.

Hopefully not a vehicle or some other large expensive item.

Just where did you enter those codes?   If you were told to message the numbers on the back, it's a scam.  If you found an item on another site and were told they were "using" eBay to handle the sale or payment that too is a SCAM.
