Gift Cards with items purchased

I keep getting sales/bids with a request that I include a gift card with item being shipped. One was an outright scam.  I have in limbo now that I requested payment on PayPal, but then got email from PayPal to submit a picture of item sold and expected gift card with number, receipt and expiration to get my payment released.  Sounds fishy. Please advise

Gift card scam.  scammers send PayPal fake emails.  Do not send photos or the numbers. They will even tell you the Police will be sent to your house.  scammers pick on new sellers.

One was an outright scam

All of these are outright scams.  Never reply to a "text me" scammer.  Not all of them want gift cards.  Sometimes it is enough for you to just send the product without being paid.  Fake payment notifications abound.  ALWAYS check to see if payment has been made by logging in directly to PayPal or your Managed Payments account, never through an email link.   

and NEVER change the ship to address, no matter what sorry tale a person comes up with.
