Getting paid and trying to contact ebay

So I guess I'm experiencing my first selling transaction with this new system. It sucks. What earthly reason is there for the payment I've been sent not to be SOMEWHERE for me NOW?! Going directly to paypal and transferring it to my bank in minutes was the right way. Now ebay, across the whole spectrum of sellers, seems to be able to keep what must be an enormous amount of money SOMEWHERE before we can get it. That's just wrong.

And trying to contact an ebay rep is apparently impossible. The phone number is not good for that anymore. And just try to find an email address to send a question, or concern. And you've got the nerve to remind me that I must ship the item in three days. I may not even have my payment in three days. No sir. When I've got the payment we can think about shipping.

This seems like a very greedy way to do things. Might have to look for another online auction vehicle.

So I got a "topic badge" from ebay immediately after posting above. I don't need a badge. Take it back. I'm not looking for a "pat on the back". What I'd like more is expressed above.

Managed Payments is eBay's only option for sellers. Most sellers who have been enrolled in Managed Payments seem to be satisfied with how it works.

eBay's customer service can be contacted with the "Have us Call You" feature through the Help & Contact page, or via Facebook or Twitter.

Late shipping will result in a defect on your account. A few of those, and you may not have to worry about Managed Payments or contacting eBay.

The way I understand it, with managed payments you do not receive your payment for several days, it's not an "instant" thing like Paypal was.  That's part of the reason I'm still on the fence deciding if I want to sell again.
