Funds on hold for 30 days!!! I did my part sent the item they received it. But since it's a high value item I get to wait another three weeks for my payment. The buyer didn't have to wait for his item and I'm sure EBay isn't waiting for there fees. I guess I know next time to use a different platform that won't hold your money an extra three weeks. I can under a hold til they receive the item and check it out but they need three weeks to check it out.

All new sellers are subject to payment holds when they start selling here. Established sellers also are subject to payment holds if they sell a high value item or disputes have been opened or they sell in a high risk category. Sorry you didn5 know this beforexyou sold an item.

The buyer has 30 days from the time they received the item to file for a return.
They want to make sure the funds are there to refund if needed.

Its cool but it's the last time I sell on here. Reading though the other boards I'm not alone. There is plenty of other ways to sell stuff and don't make you wait for your payment. If the buyer gets it and sign off on it there is no reason to hold a payment for an extra three weeks. They say the don't get interested off it but it's the only reason that really make since.

In the past, there was a hold on funds---about 10 business days---but now it can seem like forever! Wouldn't be so bad, but in these days and times? You need a side hustle to go with your side hustle!

This is what happens with new sellers due to the 30 day money back guarantee. In the event a buyer files a claim (NAD, INR) the funds will be available should you have refund the buyer. This is how it works for Everyone.

Nah - these holds are in the best interests of all. For everyone one of these “can’t believe that eBay holds payments” posts, we used to see at least as many “buyer opened a return request and I’ve already spent the money from the sale” posts.

I can't see any sales on this ID, but I hope you're not waiting for a lot of dollars. It only feels like an eternity. Breathe...

I am dealing with the same situation. Good luck getting it resolved. I sold my item 9/15, they said funds would be available 9/29. Funds became available but they have a restriction on my account. They said I need to respond to an email that was sent on 9/15 and update my info. No email was sent to me on 9/15. They check the system and say Im right. They will escalate the issue and have the email sent. 9 days later of speaking to someone everyday and I have still yet to receive the email to resolve my issue. The escalation team is out to lunch for 9 days. WHAT ARE THEY DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you signed up for Managed Payments, providing a real checking account and your SSN?
Your funds will be held for 30 days before they release them.
