Final value fees

Can anyone tell me why shipping costs are added into the final value fees? This new payment process is not better then the old way. Ebay is charging more now then ever.

Final value fees

@brgg66

Just like before, their fee's are based on the total amount the buyer pays.

Have a great day.

The actual explanation is that prior to charging fees for shipping, sellers determined that their fee structure would be lower if they sold a $20 item for 0.01 and charged 19.99 shipping. Still the same $20, but the fee only applied to the 0.01. And thus, there was a dearth of items all selling for a penny with outrageous shipping. So... now we have fees on the total price.

What will absolutely blow your mind however, is that the Final Value Fee is also applied to the local tax collected under Managed Payments, which you have absolutely zero control over and never handle that money! Neat, huh?

Ebay... never met a fee it didn't like!

You've been paying the FVF on shipping since 2011. It has nothing to do with the new payment process. Did you just notice this?
