Exchange rate options when buying international

Hi. I'm looking to buy some items from Canada to New Zealand, and when inputting my credit card it has eBay's exchange rate of $1 NZD to $0.81002 CAD. If I go to xe.com their rate is $0.846790 CAD. I can't see any other options to do things externally or use my credit card's exchange rate to get a better price, I'm just checking to see if I'm missing something?

Alternatively I have Wise set up and I was thinking of using my credit card to top up wise the CAD amount and then paying from my Wise card on eBay. When I input the Wise card though it is still telling me the NZD exchange rated amount on the checkout page. If I have the money in CAD in my Wise account would it just charge me in CAD or would it do a double exchange rate: CAD>NZD on eBay and then pulls NZD from my CAD account?

@shaun-nz-23

It doesn't matter what card or method you pay with, the exchange rate will always be what eBay says the rate is at the time you purchase. eBay/Ayden charge a fee on international transactions that is why the rate you see on xe.com is always a little lower than what you will be charged when purchasing on eBay. There is nothing you can do about that.

What you’re seeing on xe are mid market rates while there are actually multiple rates for buying and selling. And of course, the rate for buying is always lower than when selling.

In my second paragraph I ask about setting Wise up with the original currency that the item is being sold in, would it still convert to NZD for me even if I have money in a CAD wallet?
