I can see why people are done with ebay. Now that they dont use Pay pal, they keep my $880 for 30 days because I am a new seller. Even thought I have been selling for 20 years. I was also hit with a $18 foreign transaction fee because my buyer's CC address was out of the country. How is that my problem? Any descent alternatives. Ebay took over $200 in fees and keeps my money for a month

It's been awhile since you sold anything, so they consider you a new seller.
Since it sold for more then $1000, they will hold the funds for 30 days.
Even when Pay Pal processed payments, they had new seller holds.

Welcome to the new reality. These online platforms are required to enforce various counterfeit/money laundering procedures. It is pretty much the same anywhere, just different variations.
Just curuois though..if they are withholding $880.00 and your item sold for 1026. That would tell me there were around 146 dollars in fees of sorts, not 200.00 (or is my math wrong?)
Be patient, after delivery confirmation sometimes they loosen the purse strings ......

FWIW, PayPal charges foreign transaction fees, too, but they don’t state in the transaction details that you were charged them.

Actually on Paypal you are able to block payments that are not in U.S. currency. I still accept Paypal on one of my other sales venues and have foreign currencies blocked.

I think the block is actually for currencies that the recipient doesn't hold. I've never quite understood this block as the sender of the payment is able to have PayPal convert the payment before sending it to the recipient.

I wish they would call it what it is. You definitely aren't new at selling. They should call it a dormant account hold or a high value or high risk item hold.
