Ebay let me put this item in my cart, but I cannot pay for it.

Hi everyone, I wanted to buy this item on Ebay and upon seeing that it doesn’t ship to Vietnam, I contacted the seller to let them know that I’ll cover any extra charges if they ship to me. Consequently, they did change their setting and I was able to add the item to my cart but upon checking out this message appear:

“We are sorry, but the item you selected may not be purchased due to seller shipping restrictions or due to country-specific import/export or other relevant restrictions.”

The item I’m trying to buy is a Shounen JUMP edition (comic book type item) and from my previous experience and knowledge, Vietnam doesn’t have any restrictions on books or magazine being sent in. There’s also no message on Ebay stopping me from adding the item to my cart or that the item doesn’t ship to Vietnam before the above message appear during checkout and prevent me from paying.

I’m at a loss at what to do in this situation so if anyone can help that would be great. I’m also quite new to Ebay and its inner working so if you guys can explain what might be wrong that would be great.

Possibly the seller has media mail listed as the shipping method? To my knowledge media mail can’t be shipped internationally…
