Ebay gift card balance vanished

I redemed 50 $ ebay gift card to my account two weeks ago. Today, when I try to buy an item, my gift card balance has been vanished away. I tried to contact customer care service but there is no way to reach them. Can any one help me?

The only way to redeem an eBay gift card is to enter the card code into the eBay checkout page when making an eBay purchase.

Once you have used an eBay gift card to make a purchase, any remaining balance should appear as a line item on your checkout page that can be applied to a future order by checking a box.

So did you make a purchase, but had funds left over on the gift card?

Maybe gift card didn't have $50. on it.

Did it come with a receipt stating it had $50. on it?

Was it a gift?

Had you used it prior?  Where did you purchase it?  Lots of problems with all kinds of gift cards.  People scam and steal the numbers on the back.  That could have very well happened.  

 As @eburtonlab suggested, use the link they provided to get the balance.

Try calling the number on the back of the card and asking them. Until the balance is used, they should have records and would be more able to help you then calling eBay.
