Ebay deducting payment from bank account instead of Visa card linked to PayPal

In the past month I have purchased 6 items on Ebay - My credit card is linked to PayPal with a $40,000 credit limit.  In each of thses cases EBay debited my bank account instead on the credit card linked to PayPal - The only reason for having my bank info is that if you sell something they deposit to your account - but they should never take money out - On the phone being hung up several times & no one can answer my ? - I did remove my bank account & will just not sell anything on EBay - It sure looks they hit the bank directly to avoid paying the credit card fee.

eBay (or anyplace else) does not choose for me.

When I pay with PP ..................  PP uses the payment method that I have chosen on my PP account. YMMV

Never heard of eBay purchases being paid for directly from an attached checking account without going to PP.

If you mean that when you check out of eBay and select PayPal, you are not able to choose a specific payment method in your PayPal wallet but one is automatically selected for you, in that case go to your eBay Payments page in your eBay account and delete the entry for PayPal that appears there.

The next time you check out on eBay and choose PayPal, you should be sent to your PayPal wallet page and given a chance to pick a specific payment method.
