Ebay Terms and Conditions to sell item's

Wow, I didn't know about this because I don't read all the **bleep** we get from ebay, but yeah I missed the boat on this one, but be that as it may, ebay has no right to force us into this format and require ss #'s, I trust their security like I trust Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey to allow free speech on social media, (NOT),  bye bye ebay selling, I guess I will go back to craigslist, at least there are no fee's there

I have found CL to be full of spam and CL crazy people. So not worth dealing with.

"They have every right. Get over yourself."

Comments like this are really not helpful.

The problem is that eBay isn't as secure as a real financial system that the law would require us to give or SSN to.  There was literally someone on the dark web in February selling several million eBay accounts. Do you really think they used password guessing to get those and that it wasn't a breach? Do you also think you own a copy of a deed to the Brooklyn Bridge?

There is a good reason people don't want to give a mickey mouse system full of bugs the means to have their identities stolen and their financial futures eradicated. Give people a  little more credit before making these sort of comments.  The mangled payment system has a long way to go before casual sellers will trust it.

So you were an eBay seller, but did not read the announcements?

eBay has every right to "force" us into this format.  It's their site, so their rules.

Sorry you feel you have to leave and best of luck wherever you decide to do business.

Every time I have listed on Craigslist I get spammed real bad. The last encounter I had I was trying to buy automotive headlights. The crazy that contacted me told me it was illegal to have an ebay store and not have a real store. He also told me he was going to turn me in for a fraudulent business because you can’t sell out of your home. I never told him I did this, he just assumed, and of course he was right.

I’m just not attracting these crazies to my house. In my opinion you can’t maintain constant sales and deal with only local people.
