Did not receive Managed Payment

I sold an item yesterday and the buyer paid but I never received an email that it sold.....AND

my 'Managed Payment' status shows 'Processing' from yesterday.

I have my Managed payments set to send me my monies DAILY....seems it got stuck in limbo somewhere.

Has anyone else ever had this issue with managed payments??

If MP shows as pending check and see if the item is marked to ship. if not do not ship until it says so.

 

 

Ebay has went with the idea that at the point payment is confirmed: not completed you may ship.

Hence pending.

Note some have extended there handling time as they are not comfortable with a pending payment,

@sherstore  - "daily" payouts is not really an accurate name for how eBay handles your funds in MP.  They will "initiate" payouts "daily" Monday-Friday, if there is money available to be paid out - but here's the rub, they take 2 business days to process the funds and make them available to be paid out.

 

So, generally speaking, on the "daily" payouts program if you sold an item yesterday it will be paid out on Monday (2 business days) and then hit your bank 1-5 business days after that depending on how quickly your bank processes incoming ACH payments.

 

There have been exceptions to this where it has taken longer for sellers to receive payments, but for most sellers, this is how "daily" payouts works.

If it shows "processing" and eBay shows "awaiting shipment" you are good to go, and should ship within your stated handling time.

 

MP is not like PP. MP does not "front" the funds while they are being processed the way PP did.

 

Hundreds of items shipped since August of 2019 when I opted into eBay MP, and have yet to have a payment fail once eBay confirmed that buyer payment.

Edit to add - what I described is just the general flow of payments in the Managed Payments program, but of course you should always double check to make sure the item has been paid before shipping.

 

If the order shows as "awaiting shipment" in the Orders section of your Seller Hub, that means the payment is confirmed and you must ship within your stated handling time or risk a late shipment defect.

 

If the order is showing as "awaiting payment", do not ship until eBay shows that the payment has been confirmed and it is time to ship.
