Determining a payment method

First off, google’s offering a CS # of 888-523-1767 but it’s a complete scam, & shame on eBay for not making it easier for their customers to contact them by phone; I’ll NEVER buy off eBay again. EVER!

You are not buying from eBay. eBay is just the sales platform we buy and sell on. You are buying from individual sellers.

These boards are not staffed by eBay employees, we are buyers and sellers. Most of the people posting here can help if you have a question or direct you to the right place.

If you are having an issue with your account paying for something, there could be many reasons, but without knowing a little bit about what is going on, can't point you in the right direction.

@davedawave160*, first things first: you should never try to get a customer service number from google for any website other than google itself.

There have been many fake/spam websites that spoofed eBay and posted fake CS phone numbers, which have resulted in some people having their checking accounts emptied because they foolishly agreed to pay for "technical support" and allowed the scammers to access their computer. eBay never charges for customer support, and their CS reps will never ask to remote-access your computer.

To reach eBay customer service, you need to go through Help and Contact, and request them to call you back. eBay doesn't have very many direct call lines any more, and they have given up some phone numbers that htey used in the past, so even if you find a number that used to work, it will probably have been snapped up by a scammer as soon as eBay released it.

To contact eBay, start with the Help & Contact website: https://www.ebay.com/help/home

Choose the topic you need help with, and keep choosing until you end up on a help page, which should have info related to your topic. Scroll down to the bottom, and your contact options to get more help will be shown.

Alternatively, you can reach to eBay on their eBay for Business facebook or twitter page at facebook.com/eBayForBusiness and twitter.com/eBayForBusiness
