I have been on ebay since 2002. I have never posted to a board on the community. Ebay has ran fairly smooth for almost 20 years for me. However, managed payments! OMG. I expected a learning curve and challenges along the way but nothing like this. Biggest issue for me, my bank info changed just as I started this. I expected to be able to go in and update this. Nope, error message. Cleared browser history, tried multiple computers, phone, tablet, etc. Nope, just doesn't update. I go to call and find out that eBay now has a waitlist for this. The time they give you is way off. And so you wait for a magical phone call to come. Ebay calls and this lady helps me. Very nice and polite but what she said she would do did not happen. I wait 10 days as she said for a call back and none. I call again. This time they update the bank same day. Yay! Then I get one of my payments but the other ones still don't come. So now I call a third time and I am given a 30 min time window - it's been 5 hours. Later in the day I go to put my name in to be called again and it says, "try again tomorrow."
I find none of this acceptable. Ebay should check up with its sellers to make sure important issues like this are resolved correctly. We should be able to call you during a major system overhaul. Come on eBay.

You need to realize that a few dissatisfied sellers don't mean much to eBay. They've got plenty of new ones coming onboard everyday (say Chinese) and as long as they're holding the money, they're fine. They've also figured out that they can operate just fine with fewer CS people, and save money as well.

Many, many, many years ago, I had trouble with PayPal when my email address changed because my previous email address was associated with financial information. That was a worse fix and there was no Covid-19 excuse for that. If you received a payment from Managed Payments, that's good news. Ebay usually push a payment out right after midnight which causes an additional business day for my institution. If it's pushed at say Friday 00:02, then likely a Monday "here I am". Best of success when it's all fixed, Managed Payments is the way to go.

I think managed payments are fine and I am happy about the switch. The roll out however is not great. I just wonder why it is so hard to launch a good service and website for a company who mostly has to focus on the functionality of their website. I am hopeful in a few more weeks, my issue will be resolved.

At the end of the day Sellers are Customers of EBay and are paying EBay a fee to provide a service just as our Buyers are our Customers and we are expected to treat them to a 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed Experience. Where and why has this taken a left turn somewhere along the line and wonder if it will ever be restored. I think that is what many sellers on here have serious concerns about.

Update! I am still waiting for my payout. I have two payouts that they cannot figure out how to process. Now I cannot call them either because early each morning they say they have high volume and to try again later or they will not have enough time to reach me by end of day. WOW!
I have called them 4 times. 4 different agents have told me they will resolve the issue. 1 agent, told me he would follow up with me to make sure my issue was resolved in a week. Guess what, he did not.
I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with eBay over this. It is unacceptable. I think they should recognize that and offer something to compensate my time and lack of funds for almost 2 months now.
More and more sellers are moving to other options. I have loved eBay almost since the start, but I feel even I may have to move further from this platform. There are way too many issues and this is perhaps the final straw for me.
