Buyers not paying but placing bids...

Hello! I have had several buyers placing bids on my items but never sending payment. I am waiting the 4 day grace period as asked but this is getting a little ridiculous. I'm losing potential customers with an item on hold waiting for payment. Does anyone have any tips to avoid this? Sending reminders to the customer does not work.

If you want this behavior to cease, 

Avoid auction style listings with best offers and list all your items at a fixed buy it now price with immediate payment required checked off.  Sport bidders and non - paying bidders steer clear of these listings as they must pay instantly.  No best offers either or these types will continue to hound you.  A few of the bidders you had are no longer registered.  

I stopped using auctions years ago and now I always get paid for sale.
