Hello, eBay will hold your money until delivered because you're a new seller. After the few months eBay will remove the hold.

Not exactly.   

The 21 day hold will end when new sellers sucessfully sell items for  90 days and have  feedback for selling 25 items worth $250

Even after all of that I have been subject to a couple of holds sporadically. 

In June I sold a $450 order, no hold, then two almost back to back orders of ~$1,000 ea, hold for 30 days on both of them, made sense because MBG timeline, then a week or two later I do a $300 order in early July if I'm not mistaken, and they do a hold until estimated delivery date or confirmation of delivery. What's up with that? I understand high value item holds but no true consistency. Last week, a $480 order had no hold.

Will be doing some high value orders again here shortly, can't wait to see what holds get placed then. Will be interesting to see.

So I have had sporadic holds that seem to be consistent with higher value items, but have no consistency between them.
