Recently sold something for a good chunk of money and the funds have been put on hold until the middle of next month, is there any way to contact someone to get them released before tha time is up or am i just stuck waiting?
Item has been confirmed delivered and the buyer has said he more then happy with it.

Just have to sit tight and wait it out.

The short answer is no. The payment system is automated. You won't be able to get anyone at eBay to speed the payment up.

New seller and it sold for more then $1000, they are going to hold the funds for 30 days.
Nothing you can do but wait until the hold is released and hope the buyer doesn't file an INAD.

Wow congrats on the $5000 sale! I didn't know games cartriges go for this much.
You are both a new/infrequent seller AND selling a high priced item and therefore are subject to payment holds. See below

There is no negotiating or pleading with Ebay, your funds will be released after 30 days. Your buyer might be happy today doesn't mean they will be happy within 30 days. Ebay wants to make sure that any potential refunds comes out of your pocket and not theirs.
I hope you didn't sell the game to pay urgent bills or expenses.

No...maybe after October 15th you might get the funds. Great sell.
I would be afraid of a credit card dispute with that big sale though from the buyer as a first sell.
Good luck.

Thankfully, nothing urgent, although i'm gonna miss out on the guitar i was selling it to buy lol
and yeah, the game sold was top of the mountain for the super nintendo, very few games go that high outside of sealed stuff or other rarities.

I gotta ask, what makes that game worth $5000, when others are selling for like $20?

It's a specialized version of the game that was used at blockbuster stores for a competition in 1995, was later sold through a nintendo power catalog, with only 2500 being produced.
The game itself has been modified to be a timed gauntlet with a score system added in, so it's VERY different from the normal donkey kong country.
Copies don't tend to come up for sale very often.
