I'm not in MP.  I'm still with paypal. I was told i will be switched over some time in July 2021.

sooner or later you will be put into managed payments or you will not sell on ebay. everyone has to go to it.  if you dont want to go then say adios to ebay as far as selling.  im down for march 1

how much you make has nothing to with going to managed payments.  anyone that sells anything on ebay will have to go to it, regardless

You'll know when you enroll. If you forgot if you enrolled and payment still goes into your Paypal account, then you're not in MP yet. When you do you can choose if your labels are purchased with any remaining PP funds or with pending MP funds.

I switched a few months ago and it's gone well, but it hasn't really affected my sales up or down. Buyers don't know or care, and it doesn't seem to affect search visibility. Some will argue otherwise. Good luck~

I'm not in the mp yet, but I stopped selling items on eBay, last year. However, recently I did question eBay about it, incase I decided to resume my sales, their reply was they would notify me by email when they were ready to switch me over to the mp.

now, I'm just gonna throw this out there, for the heck of it. I think eBay most definitely realized that to switch everyone over to it, all at once, would've caused mass hysteria, in which would've caused an uncontrollable massive influx of hyperbolic debate here, on the community board, which wouldn't have been a good reflection on eBay, and perhaps, also, lest it crash the whole net-world system. Yeah, lol lol lol

NO you are in good company, there are around 23+ million sellers that aren't yet in MP worldwide.

You are correct.  MP does not affect sellers in the searches.  There is no boost to those in MP at all.  And the only way it might affect your sales is because the buyers are given two more payment options, so that could help with sales a little.

It's a gradual roll-out with no real information as to how they chose their next tranche of sellers to go into MP.   And yeah, what @mam98031  says - buyers do get more payment options - many buyers don't use Paypal but they do use mobile payments so that may be a boost (they'll still be able to use Paypal).

Count yourself lucky if you haven't been forced into Mangled Payments yet . You can still use PayPal directly to get immediate payment. With MP you have to wait till eBay decides to send your money to your bank. Have a good look at the hundreds of seller complaints about eBay taking days, even weeks to make payouts under MP.

I have 2 selling accounts here. One they put into managed payments in October, the other is still old school. I do not know why they didn't have both account in MP.

Odd, but whatever 🙂 I sell on both too.
