I was helping my dad set up his own Ebay account and when entering his checking account number for Managed Payments, he accidentally read me his account number wrong so one digit is incorrect! If we go in to 'manage account' to change it, popups say we cannot delete a checking account before adding a new one first. But instead of entering the acct.# and routing number and waiting for them to deposit and withdraw .01 cent, it now forces dad to enter his secret Log in info for his bank including user ID and password! He will not give that to Ebay to have and store. Can't find anyway to get back to the original signup format to redo. For now, we are waiting for the .01 cent transaction to fail and then see what Ebay does next?

My kneejerk reaction would just be to start dad another account and ditch the effort with this one. (I mean, I can't think of a policy it breaks, that is.) Sit tight and wait for posters with experience or knowledge with this issue. Welcome to the jungle.

We've worked to get his feedback established and are now ready to try and sell and would hate to have to start all over. Probably would have to set up yet another email address ('sorry, already in use'), etc., etc. Being elderly, he is already just about to throw in the towel due to this being 'too much of a hassle'...
