Quick question about receiving 1099 forms. Is the total net or gross? If i sell an item for $8.00 with $6.00 shipping, that totals to $14.00. Will the 1099 be $14.00 or $8.00? If i sell 100 $8.00 items then i made $800, right? If i sell 100 $8.00 items with $6.00 shipping per item, did i make $1400?

It's gross. You have to calculate your selling expenses which you will deduct from the gross. Shipping is one of those expenses.

As noted in the other post, a 1099-K will include your gross payments. Then you deduct your expenses, including what you actually paid for shipping. This might be more or less than the $6.00 that the buyer paid to you.

@kidredline Adding to the other answers...
A 1099k will not be issued in most states unless you sell 200 items AND $20,000
Each payment processor issues a 1099K when you reach that amount of sales, so for sales made with PayPal they will not add sales you made with managed payments to the annual sales total.
Even if you don't get a 1099k you still have to figure out your gross and net for taxes.
You can figure out your gross sales by running a performance sales report. I run it by the month and tally it since it can only be run for 90 days max.
This report will download as a CSV file and not a graph like you see on the screen
