I have been told that if you're not active in posting items the algorithm will lower your postings towards the bottom of the list. My questions are, does this start from the moment you upload your first item? If you just created an account and it's been open for about 2 weeks without uploading anything, does this also lower your postings once you start uploading?

The Impact of Listing Regularly on SEO

Okay, so when you make a listing, you by default generate a new link to a page partially under your control. If you have an eBay Anchor Store or above, and you strategically link your listings to store pages to target as many keywords and phrases as possible, and get an edge over non-store owners and store owners without an anchor store, the level at which the cost really begins to justify its presence within the budget.

If you don't list regularly or constantly be making new followable links to your listing pages, search engines for lack of a better term, "forget" about your pages, figuring if they were worth sending visitors to, surely some relevant page would've linked to that shop or its listings, etc.

Does that make sense? If not, LMK and  I'll try to rephrase it.
