When I long ago started eBay I planned on selling eventually but only purchased things for 3 or 4 months to get a feel for how others treated me which included communication and packing. You pick things up along the way--what you like and do not like. Most often I see new sellers diving in with no idea how to describe their items and worse, how to pack. Taking your time and do a bit of buying to get a feel for how you wish to conduct your selling will be more enlightening than others giving you pointers.

Selling on Ebay is not a plan that will succeed.
Selling specific types of products you know about and how to source is where a plan begins, selling on Ebay is a means to succeeding with such a plan.
If you do not know what you are going to sell, whether people are going to buy it, and what it should cost, you should find a job rather than waste your time learning the mechanics of selling on Ebay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, etc etc.

Did someone tell you that you would be employed by eBay and eBay would pay you to post product reviews, write forum posts, or grab orders? This is a scam, and they are setting you up to steal from you. The scammers will earn your trust with fake proof of their system, perhaps even let you withdraw very small payments, then they will tell you that you have to pay them to be able to withdraw more payments.
This is called a task scam or an order-grabbing scam. The fake company might use the name "eBay Mall" or a different name. Either way, it's a scam that has nothing to do with the real eBay.
eBay doesn't pay people to write forum posts, write product reviews, or grab orders. No legitimate company pays for this type of "work."
If the scammers ask you to sign up for a cryptocurrency account, don't do it. Don't give them any money; you won't get any of it back. More info: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/ebay-job-scam/
