Would you please provide a link to the policy that says Ebay is charging a 60% FVF on Ebay motors. This will help us to better be able to help you.

Hi, i would list your auto hand tool on the regular eBay site. The Final Value fee for most categories is 10%.

The fee for selling a vehicle for up to $2000 is $60, so if you sold it for $100 thats 60%.

OP has listed a number of vehicles, and sold one for $100 as discussed in his other thread here:

So yo don't sell a car that costs a $100 on eBay. Not everything should be sold on eBay. Some things are best sold locally, others with specialized auction sites. You sell a $100 car via Craigslist for cash.

So eBay does not charge a 60% percentage; they charge a flat fee that happens to work out to 60% in a few rare instances?
IMHO it does everyone here a disservice when a seller posts misleading information in an attempt to discredit eBay rather than takeg responsibility for not to reading the terms (and/or their inability to do elementary school-level math).

Pretty much Lucky. OP made an error, decided to finger point and externally blame.
"Lies, danged lies, and statistics" seems to apply in this situation.

Dude!
The fee structure for selling vehicles vs. selling parts is completely different. I know that Ebay's policies have become very confusing, and change constantly, so that it's hard to know what's what....but not in this case, as this is just basic stuff that is clearly stated for those who'd bother to look.
Secondly, you're converting a flat-fee into a percentile; and then you're applying it, plus an insertion fee amount- both of which don't even apply to the category you would be listing your tool in, to that category.
And you sold a car on here for $100? You could have scrapped it for more, plus have not had to pay the $60 fee.
I'm flabbergasted! Did you do any research/ask any questions at all before listing? Sounds like you just did it blindly, as if saying to yourself "I'll find out what the fees are when I get the bill". (Have you considered running for Congress? You'd like the "You have to pass the bill to find out what's in it" thing...)
Maybe Ebay isn't the one who's nuts......
