FEEDBACK

WE HAVE TO STOP BUSINESS WITH EBAY AND MOVE TO DIFFERENT PLATFORM BECAUSE THEIR NEW EBAY POLICY. WE SELL CARS BASED ON THE STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS. PEOPLE BIDDING WITH NO DL, NOT LEGAL TO BUY, NO INSURANCE. WHEN WE CANCEL TRANSACTION BECAUSE WE CANNOT TRANSFER THE TITLE AND SELL MOTOR VEHICLE, THEY ARE ABLE TO LEAVE NEGATIVES AND EBAY DOES NOT REMOVES. EBAY DOES NOT HAVE LICENSE TO SELL CARS AND THEY CANNOT FORCE US TO SELL OR BUYERS TO BUY. WHY DO THEY ALLOW PEOPLE TO LEAVE ANY FEEDBACK FOR NOT PURCHASED OR PAID VEHICLES IF IT'S NON BINDING AGREEMENT FOR SELLERS AND BUYERS FOR CARS, VANS & TRUCKS?

Re: FEEDBACK

Non binding means either party can walk away.

Not completing the transaction doesn't exempt them from leaving feedback.

On the internet all caps is shouting.

You would be better off keeping the replies simple.

For example, "My state law requires the buyer to have a driver's license and insurance and sale was canceled because he had neither one," instead of that lengthy reply that hurts your eyes because it's all caps.

THIS BUYER HAS NO LEGAL DOCUMENTS TO DRIVE. WE SELL BASED ON PA AND FEDERAL LAWS. EVERY BUYER MUST HAVE INSURANCE AND US, CANADA DL. WE HAVE TO FOLLOW PENNSYLVANIA STATE LAWS. WE ASKED TO SEND COPIES OF DOCUMENTS AND HE REFUSED IT. WE NEVER ASKED TO SELL OUTSIDE OF EBAY. WE SOLD IT TO ANOTHER BUYER 2 MONTHS AGO.

Re: FEEDBACK

We already contacted attorney but next couple days eBay changed the policy:

eBay
We’re simplifying order cancellations
Hi buynsell_2015,

We're reaching out to let you know that today, we're launching an update that will simplify the order cancellation process for both sellers and buyers.

What's new
Buyers now have the option to request an order cancellation using the Cancel order button before the item is marked as shipped.

What sellers should know
You retain full control to either accept or decline cancellation requests

You’re protected from neutral or negative feedback for any cancellation requests made through our updated process, regardless of whether you accept or decline

You may notice a slight increase in cancellation requests, but should receive fewer direct messages from buyers inquiring about cancellations

In prior tests, this change resulted in a minimal increase in cancellation requests (maintaining an overall average cancellation rate of 1%, with an increase from .9 out of 100 transactions to 1.1 out of 100 transactions), and a notable 25% improvement in buyer satisfaction, which led to a higher likelihood of repeat purchases

For a detailed overview of these changes, please visit our eBay Community page.

Re: FEEDBACK

Not binding for car means the buyer cannot leave any feedback if any vehicle transaction does not follow state and federal regulations for title transfer. eBay does not have a license to sell cars. It means we are as a licensed used car dealer have choice to cancel transaction if we decide to do.

Re: FEEDBACK

Ebay feedback

It should be divided into 2 parts--The seller & the product.
The seller can sell a NEW item and get negitive feedback because they are disapointed with the product. That should never happen. And don't get me started on trying to get the unjust feedback removed. Calling Ebay is a waste of time, THEY DO NOT CARE EVEN IF THE FEEDBACK IS WRONG OR A LIE. I always take care of my customers, for 30 days you can return anything to me at my expense and get a full refund. If you do this consistantly for years Ebay should never allow you to get a negitive feedback. Now back to the point of this all, if I got a negitive feedback on a product I would not care that much. But to give me one for a product thats crazy. I can't bend over backwards more for my customers that I do now. There needs to be 2 completely seperate feedbacks. And you must rate the products first, then the seller. Think about the advantage Ebay would gain, no#1 less feedback calls and complaints including losing sellers, no#2 Ebay would have 1 of the best product rating indexing in the country. They could bring new customers to Ebay.
If I was Ebay I would allow product rating changes to be available for 6 months. And sure would help Ebay with less customer service also if they allow changes to be done to sellers personal feedback for 30 days and then feedback revision as they do now.
Think about this Ebay: If all the sellers had positive feedbacks would EBAY make more or less sales? Easy answer of course is more sales, less chance they will buy elsewhere. But EBAY does the exact opposite. They prevent you from giving a bad mark to a buyer NOT the seller. I understand that is a good thing also for making more sales.
I would like to add that I know feedback is a very sore spot for Ebay. It is a near impossible task. You can't make everyone happy. But my idea would make a big difference, and of course the bottom line is always money. Ebay would make more money, less customer service. More customer coming to Ebay for product ratings. Ebay will be the new Consumers Report.
Rating the seller seperate from the product is exactly how it should be. The other way doesn't even make any sense.
